If I had to have an end to end I don’t think I’d bother with a layout. I like to have something trundling round while I enjoy myself gluing my fingers together.

Why not install an automatic shuttle? That's what I'm currently working on.

I did have one of those on my loft layout for a small branch line. Much prefer a roundy roundy.
