Should be perfectly ok as long as you only power it for a very short period, 1 second or less.

Look for cooks matches or Extral Long Matches if you want a sturdier fence

They are thicker than ordinary matches as well as being longer. Useful for other jobs too.

The Blue Pullman was Nanking blue afaik. Remember though that paint fades badly in sunlight so any model paint you find will be the (Usually) ex-works colour. Using Raimatch or Phoenix Precision paints should give you the best possible colour match to the original loco. It won't necessarily exactly ...

Get the Gaugemaster CDU instead or any other make of CDU if you want to change more than one set of points at the same time. The Peco unit is a bit weak.
