Re: Neptune Street

Appreciate the comment, thank you. I've just been back into the shed for another look, I know the card looks dense but I think the cross beans are too deep (25mm) they look too heavy, so will probably cut down to 19 or even 16mm. But then will probably change my mind again. Is this supposed to be re...

Re: Neptune Street

The plus side of the lockdown was the completion of the electrics and control panel, the understandable downside has been the unavailability of some products but I believe the Peco turntable and motor I've had on order should be here in the next few days. So with that in mind I thought I'd build a r...

Re: Beginner layout.

Ben, Welcome back to railway modelling. I echo Rog's comments about the NCE Powercab. Like you I came back into the hobby after a considerable time away knowing nothing about DCC. I have nothing but praise for the NCE, I think, well I know, it will do me for the rest of my modelling life. Regards Carl

Appreciate the comments thank you.

Re: Neptune Street

Find it hard to believe that it was as far back as October since my last post on this thread. Having had the issues with the wiring short and finally cured it, (a basic error) it seemed like time to post an update. Whilst visually it doesn't show a lot of advancement, for me seems like a huge leap f...

Re: Rekindle

Welcome beesabobs. I like you had packed it all away for a few decades before blowing the dust off three or four years ago.

You may have many questions, but there'll always be someone with a helpful answer.

Have fun.

Re: Wiring short

I almost wanted to change the subject title to 'That Eureeka moment!' I did all the checks as per Brian's last post, removed the insulfrog point, no short, put in the temporary link wire as per the diagram with the point out, and again no short. So I decided to lift the next point down as well, also...
