Re: Help please locos keep breaking

Just taken another ones too off, this was previously running however appears to be missing the positive cable.
I've put power cables across the motor but still nothing.

Any ideas how to take the bogies off/motor out of it?

Re: Help please locos keep breaking

So the track has been soaked in vinegar for a couple days and wiped prior to starting. The locos were all running and I have one train left that'll run around the outer looo, so I know power is definitely going to the track. One of the locos that was working then just stopped working, if I now put i...

Help please locos keep breaking

Hi all. New modeller/member. I've set an old track up and have had trains running but now 4 or 5 have stopped running. It's DC, powered by Hornby HM2000 twin controller but only have one side wired up. 3 power feeds, one to outer oval one to inner oval and one to one side of sidings. Power feeds are...

Half decent locos

Hi all. My track is slowly coming together as a newbie, running on a mix of steel and nickel. The trains I have are old with the basic motors from the 80s and struggle when pulling a couple of cars. Anyone got anything that'll run good and entertaining for a 6 yr old ? I'm not currently modelling an...

Re: New build

So having powered the track back up and tested the layout last night, I'm getting a couple dead spots on the two ovals, partly the track but I also think partly the trains aren't that good. The sidings I have only allow 2 cars plus a longish diesal train. I'm tempted to.look for 1 or 2 half decent s...

Re: New build

The curves are different parts but equal on both sides. I have swapped them around so semetrical on both sides. Ah found it. Missed another r610, short straight . I see what I've tried doing, basically wanted to increase clearance of walls but a whole straight is bit too much, but by adding the 610 ...

Re: New build

Yes, I compiled a list of each individual piece before laying track back down. It's just strange. I've spent ages trying to get it to fit as well.
