Looking at your photos and taking into account that the camera is not the best tool for colour matching I would take a guess at LNER Doncaster green in railway colours. Also in thoughs days there was not many paint colours available I dont think.

I agree with you RAF Royal Mail most of the time is excellent. But it does depend on where you live. I have lived all around the UK and one or two areas the post took ages and others were excellent. Scotish post beats them all. Scotish postmen keep you up to date with all the gossip as well.

Have just bought a very nice sales dale double Engine shed but there is bit of damage to the top of a couple of chimneys. A bit of filling is needed. Can any one recomend a filler for the job. No nothing in there. I thought I could remember hearing that hornby were planning some for the future, may-be. Perhapse I was dreaming. I have a nice Silver fox but nothing but LNER teaks for it to pull.
