Re: bachmann class 20 sound and r1 curves

Sam's trains has done a review of this model, but you'd need to contact him and ask him about his experience with Radius 1 Curves... I'd imagine he does have them, but not sure exactly where on his layout they'd be.

Re: Hornby tiers system

I don't think thats what Geoff means here... I think an Outlet would design a new model themselves (or has someone do it for them). Many years ago (before everything moved to china) I used to work in the electronics industry. A lot of our customers made electronic assemblies for various competing c...

Re: Hornby tiers system

Oh dearie me! Having seen the problem played out in N, pre-Covid, with Hattons no longer stocking Graham Farish, now Hornby are doing the same in OO. The MANUFACTURERS are obviously properly scared by 'Outlets' manufacturing, if by manufacturing you mean commissioning models from the same factory t...

The idea that the manufacturer gets to impose its will on retailers like this seems really wrong. I also don't see t...

Re: Soldering (Electrical)

odd its suddenly not tinning... i got a weller iron donated to me recently, but when i tried to use it, i couldn't get it to work at all... i ended up cleaning the tip with a fibre pen, followed by a dip in 99% Isopropanol (cold of course)... then i wrapped solder around the tip with the iron cold a...
