Re: Soldering (Electrical)

My 'go to' iron is the Antex XS25W with Silicone cable... it just works.

Used to use a spade type tip but recently converted to a point tip... it can take a little longer to heat the components (tinning the iron will prevent this), I get far better results!

Re: The great model railway challenge

I'm sorry, but i'll have to disagree on "all modellers are a friendly bunch" there, smokeyjoe.

I've met some modellers who are horrendous people. A few i've met at exhibitions have been rude, ignorant, arrogant and self important!

Re: Web Site Not Secure

hi brian.

i recommend investigating certificates from 'LetsEncrypt' as they are free.

The site works under HTTPS but the error is caused due to there being a certificate issue.

Regards,

Steve

Re: Four Bridges

That looks amazing. Sadly, I cannot continue looking there....

I'll turn a horrible shade of green that I won't be able to come back from!

Hmm - Prosilver for me. Not sure why, seems a bit tidyer/cleaner. Perhaps it appeals more to my CDO. R-

Re: best figures for layout

not to backseat moderate, but shouldn't this be in another category of the forum?

(mods, feel free to delete this comment should you feel that is more appropriate?)
