Re: Radio Control

Instead individual control of locos what about supplying 12v dc to the track, and then using rc to control the speed of the loco.... saves having batteries.

another solution might be to replace the dc controller with something that has wireless control of the 12v output...

Re: Slow laptop

Just a note re : deleting temp files. Don't do it manually. 99.99% of the time, its fine, but i've seen machines require a rebuild due to a temp file being deleted which was in the middle of a copy operation. on win 7 +, any updated system will have the disk cleanup. Re: This site and using a VPN

if its only on the VPN, it sounds like a DNS issue. check the bookmarks are sane (type the full address in rather than use the bookmark.) also check the DNS setting on the VPN AND your devices. (they should only usr the router for DNS since you are on VPN).

if not, ask the VPN provider.

Re: Phishing scam

might be worth pointing out that even tho the from address looked to be from Vaping Co... its rather unlikely they actually sent it... it's either just been spoofed, or they have an infected pc sending out spam.

Re: Arcing

The HFTC will do exactly what you are reporting. The arc is intended to burn away the dirt on wheels... you'd be better served by regular use of a decent track rubber and a follow up if IsoPropyl Alcohol. (AKA ipa... but didn't want to confuse with Ale... ) for the track and a fibre pen for ALL stoc...
