Re: Trouble with old SM3s

Emery board may be a bit harsh for what you are doing...

You could try a combination of a fibre pencil and some isopropyl alcohol if you can reach the contacts.

Could you post a picture?

Stick them in a few odd places around your layout... may make people look twice.

Re: Flashing controller screen

I think we'd need more info to be sure, but it sounds like the wheel flange is shorting on the Vee/Frog. If you can send a picture of the point, plus a wiring diagram of how you havevit connected, I'm sure someone will spot the issue. Also Brian Lamberts Website has lots of info on that might help.....

Re: HS2

It was my understanding that the point of HS2 wasn't to decrease travel time from london to the north but to create capacity in the system to allow the ECML and WCML to have major upgrades.... but the politicians have (maybe deliberately) mis-sold it, and stunted public opinion about it....

Very true, but all the while they're trying to prove the Earth is flat it stops them doing other stupid things like telling us the moon landings really happened. They didn't did they  :o
Say that to Buzz Aldrin and you'll end up with a punch on the nose!

TBH, I'd not give them the web traffic. The sooner their silly ideas go away, the better for us all.
