Anything that spreads the word to younger potential enthusiasts, or even to older guys, has to be, a good thing. I watched the first series, which, had its faults, but their modelling is a better standard, than mine, so, will be watching again. Most of us, are not too old to learn the odd new trick.

Twas going to line regularly used by steam, and flying scotsman, was on same line. recently. Peut Etre, crewe works, not now connected, being privately owned. Great display of truck driving, though, far more interesting that towing it down.

my volvo v50, computer is showing faulty offside foglamp bulb. So we removed cover etc, to replace. It does not exist. There is only a nearside one, which is perfect. Offside, not wired, no bulb in holder. Popped one in, so have a handy spare. Interesting though. john

hi, Look on ebay foe H and M Duette or clipper. They have the grunt, and built like tanks. I use 9 of them on my layout for Hornby Dublo. Guagemaster, and Morley, are the best on the market, but expensive. Hornby 2000, are fine, but you wont go wrong with the 2 i have suggested. Cost about £20 ish. ...

Excellent point Rog,all my Doblo run on H&M clippers or Duettes, both 2 and 3 rail locos . They draw too much for small controllers. Won’t matter about length of carbon brushes. I cut mine in half from new .

MG, as far as i can see, you are now a designated modeller/ builder, as opposed to most of us who play trains. By so doing, you have restricted your budget, by design. I dont think that was posters actual question, as he wants also, to play trains. In my case, with hands like pork sausages, and Bion...
