Welcome - My experience of wiring up point motors is ancient, from around 50 years ago in another lifetime. I'm sure someone will assist.

Interestingly, Screwfix and B&Q are both part of the same group and their offerings often overlap with SF being cheaper.

The big issue here is that it’s a captive audience. However good you might be as a modeller, you have to buy stuff, or go without. Be honest, it’s difficult to suppress the desire to purchase.
