The roofing shingles are left over from the new roofing on our house. I saw a post of a modeler in the US that used the back of shingles. He painted it with a light coat of gray paint, and then sprayed a light coat of India ink on it. I have not done that yet. here is his posting. Scroll down toward...

Road construction

Below is a picture of a sample for my road construction. I would appreciate your comments/feedback. I'm using the back of asphalt roofing shingles.

Peco Smart switch

I just received a new order of the Peco Smart switch. The toggle switches in this set have 3 prongs vs the two prongs in the older set. I am just using the toggles to throw the switch motors. Do I solder the wires to the two outer prongs or to the outer prong and inner prong?

As I study the instruction manual, there are terminals built into the control panel that the LEDs can be wired into directly. In addition the manual states that the control panel has resistors built in so there is no need for another resistor. The toggle switchs are wired to additional terminals on ...
