Sharge track cleaning car

Does anyone know how to contact Sharge? I am interested in purchasing one of their track cleaning cars but not sure if they ship to the US. Also if they deduct VAT. Their website does not list an address or contact information.

Also would be interested in others thoughts about them.

Thanks,
David

Building kits

Prior to this time I have been using the Metcalfe card kits, which I have found to be very nice. What other companies are recommended? Any thoughts on downloadable kits and which do you recommend. I am using oo gauge.

Thank you,
David

Ballast

Although I live in Virginia I am making a British model railroad. Since I lived in London in the early 70s, that is roughly the era I am doing. We have spent time in the Yorkshire Dales recently, and I have the Settle train station so that would be the area. What ballast material do you recommend an...

Re: Lighting wiring

Brian, Both Railway scenics and Rapidonline show that the circuit breaker is discontinued. Rails of Sheffield has one from Gaugemaster. Since they have 2 prongs, how do you wire them in? Would I put one on the beginning of each circuit? Keep in mind I am a complete novice with electricity. However I...

Re: Lighting wiring

Thanks Steve,

I have purchased the LEDs for the buildings from a supplier here in the US that have a resister built in. The platform lights will be from Gaugemaster and they come supplied with a resistor that is soldered on.

Where would I find self resetting circuit breakers?

Re: Lighting wiring

Correction: I have a 12 volt, 2 amp transformer, which will power 100 LED lights.

Lighting wiring

Thanks to many of your suggestions I have completed the DCC track wiring buss, droppers, etc. As I posted earlier everything runs well. I will now be putting in scenery, buildings, etc. My current question is: Can I run a two strand wire under the baseboard and basically do drop down wiring for the ...
