What model kits do you build?

Re: Basic Tools for the Modeller.

A ceramic tile. (4” to 6”) Very useful tool! Mixing araldite type glue. Paint palette, some paint eats the surface of the cutting mat! Don’t ask..... And cutting brass etch (doesn’t crease/fold/kink). Which does happen on the softer standard type cutting mats, especially with smaller items. Can be e...

Re: Suggestion Please.

Re: Airbrushing with Acrylic paints

That is sound advice! 100% accurate. I found the humbrol works better with tamiya thinners than either RO water (0tds) or there own brand acrylic thinner? Test first! Have a gun donkey! (I use a piece of 6mm fibre board or an offcut of something smooth..... Mdf or a ceramic tile are normally the nea...

Re: Your latest acquisition

Yes it is. If memory serves me correct, A small section of track was laid within the perimeter fence to help facilitate the construction/enlargement of the aerodrome But was removed upon completion. However I can find no pictures. The airfield/railway share a fence, and, the enlarged airfield actual...

Re: Airbrushing with Acrylic paints

Humbrol acrylic with tamiya thinner
Or tamiya and tamiya.

Occasionally when nothing else will do humbrol stinkers and white spirit.

Cellulose is hard! Really good and quick drying.
Ideal for primer. But stinks. Zero paints. Great primer!

Alclad quick drying varnish.....top stuff, ready to gun.
