I like the ripples, very realistic.
Thanks it was a bit of luck with the ripples it was how the varnish dried . I poured the varnish and then spread it with straight brush strokes 😀

Logging lake

Finally finished my lake for the wood mill on my layout extension , two thick coats of pva over coated with two coats of external clear wood varnish. First coat of pva on the lake, will add felled logs when I lay the second coat.

Added a wood mill and started on a lake !.
Lake is painted then I'll cover it with pva to get the shine.
