Re: The Shankly and Gdynia Railway

Love the servicing cameo, great idea, which if you don’t mind I may copy. Having built the same tower , knowing how fiddly the rails and posts are I think you made a great job, better than I did.

And congratulations on the 100,000 milestone.

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street.

Wholeheartedly agree with comments about black and while, lovely atmosphere, love the way the back scene blends in. Nice one.

Re: Neptune Street

For what it's worth; whereas previously the ash resembled the aftermath of a snowstorm, the application of dilute PVA to harden the top surface to a workable condition has brought out a nice variation in tones and areas, quite happy with that. https://i.postimg.cc/VdWyLG5c/IMG-5630.jpg https://i.pos...

Re: Neptune Street

Steve,

Very helpful indeed, I was trying to work out how to do the fire irons. I’m glad I read it so early today as I have a Hobbycraft 2 or 3 mile from where I work, so guess where today’s lunch break is.

Re: Neptune Street

Thanks for the kind comments and the advice regarding rattle cans, which I'll stay clear of. The top surface of the ash was just far too soft to take any treatment, so with the test strip have dried to my satisfaction the whole area has been treated with dilute PVA and is currently drying out. Re: Neptune Street

I've made a start on the corrugated iron roof of the fish shed using foil baking tray sections moulded on a ridged doorway carpet trim. Close up images really do show up short comings such as gaps where panels haven't quiet sat down properly, but weathering should hide a multitude of sins. https://i...

Re: WEST ORTON

Well I was going to watched the football tonight but once more feel shamed about woefully slow progress, so it'll be the shed instead!

Cracking progress.

You just know it's going to look good. Your speed is quiet astonishing.
