Re: 00 Gauge Lima Brakedown Crane.

I always send a sold item Signed for. Perhaps I've been lucky? I have over 800 ebay transactions at 100% and never ever had a problem with payments, sending items or receiving them. I always use Paypal linked to my credit card and again 100% with every transaction (ebay sellers fees and Paypal charg...

Re: Triang Rocket: Advice Please

AFAIK there is no direct X500 motor replacement available anywhere. Sometimes a secondhand one pops up on ebay, but those can be poor at best! You can have the old X500 motor re wound and perhaps a new magnet fitted if required. I have one on my workbench that needs a rewind and I'm considering send...

Re: Diesels to Glenburnie Station

As they were posted about 8 minutes before the scheduled time when the forum was taken off line, I suspect they were not present when a backup copy was taken just before 11:00 and then that copy reused to restore the forum after its down time.

Re: My thoughts on a folding baseboard

To allow two baseboards to fold track to track then use conventional Back flap or Butt hinges but they then need to be fitted onto wooden blocks which are at least the height of rail top to baseboard top minimum. Or use the wall paper table hinges, but they tend often to allow only ashallow gap when...

Re: Adding sound effects to a layout

Looks that way. I assume the switches are really a rotary switch? e.g. a 1 pole 12 way break before make with positions 10,11 & 12 not used, so as you can't have a second one turned On when another one is already turned On.
