Re: electrofrog points

Thank's for replies.
I think I will fit insulators on all frogs to prevent any shorts.

electrofrog points

laying track for DCC use.
Have 4 points all leading off to individual 4 sidings.
Do I have to place plastic rail joiners to each frog point as they all lead to a dead end.
Can I fit normal metal joiners to all point outlets leading to dead ends ?

Hi Brian,
All is well.
First points went down with motors attached.
Wired up to ring - + through capacitor wired as you said.
Worked first time by stud method.
Thank's again

Can I say fit 6 on off power switches spread around the layout to break up the bus into 6 sections. I...

Rivarossi turntable

Thinking of changing my old Hornby turntable.
Seen this Rivarossi turntable for sale but know nothing about them.
Does any one have any experience of using one ?
Are they better in operation than the Hornby one ?

I was going to convert myself as a ringfield motor is quite straight forward job. Thank's for replies. ...

Hornby Saint

Hi, can any body help me with a old Hornby class Saint model. As an old Great Western man I collect GWR locos. Required this loco recently and needed to convert it to DCC. Only trouble is as the motor, ringfield, is in the tender and I can not remove the body from the chassis. Is it just tight or is...
