Re: Four Bridges

I have removed 2 x 2 tab switches from the panel and replaced them with the original (3 tab) ones that come with the signals. I will then make up a cable and connector set and run from each switch to each terminal on the signal control box underneath the board. I wired it up on the workbench first a...

Re: Four Bridges

Instructions refer to a 3 tab switch so I guess there is no other choice. I can change a switch over at the panel for these twin signals but I wanted to share my confusion in case I was missing something. I'll cut the 3 wires to the pre-wired switch, extend them round to the panel, and reconnect. Th...

Re: Four Bridges

Yes I understand this Brian. I am baffled though as to what to do with the 3rd wire coming off that box to the switch. My idea was to cut the 3 wires and connect at the panel which has it's own switches but the panel switches only have 2 terminals. I guess I could cut off the pre-wired switch and co...

Re: Four Bridges

Little confused with the wiring of the Dapol 4L-001-006, twin signal. First, my single signals have red + black for power and 2 yellow wires which go to the switch. They work fine. The twin signal has red + black for power and I have power to the signal. However, this signal has a box which the actu...

Re: OO gauge signals

I made a mistake with the post. The signals are actually 3 aspect, red, amber, green !!! Schoolboy error for not checking before posting. I have 6 x 2 aspect signals (red/green) available for sale if anyone is interested. Fully working but no mimic switches although I do have some switches available...

Re: Four Bridges

Thank you. I plan to have no more than 8 signals and 2 are already connected direct to the 12v output connector block and have their own 2 yellow wires connected to their switches via a block on the panel. I'm using a 12v supply that plugs into the wall socket. I heard somewhere that a Gaugemaster M...

Re: Four Bridges

On the subject of the Dapol signals, and being 12v powered, I assume I could run a bus wire for positive & negative (red/black) under the board and hook in each signal to that rather than run the 2 wires from each signal to the input block at the panel? This would reduce the amount of wire used over...

Re: Four Bridges

Back now after a busy period with work and have decided to replace the 2 aspect colour light signals throughout and instead install semaphores. I have gone for the Dapol range and I wired in the first 2 yesterday via a dedicated control panel. Work nice and look the part. Happy so far. I now have 6 ...
