It must be about 45 years since I soldered components on to Veroboard, now I can only just see the bands on resistors let alone work out the resistance.
If you have a newish mobile phone, take a photo and enlarge the picture on your phone screen,,,,,

The surface mount point by DCC Concepts have a extra switch this may help, if your using the point motors to switch from one line to another they also do a "Cross over kit" this has 2 PM's and extended leads, i use these and run 4 PM's from a single contol unit brings the price down for what ends up...

Replace all your light bulbs with LED bulbs, did mine some 5 or 6 years back, cost £300 roughly, save £30 a month, never had to replace any in this time, you do the sums its worth it....cost really depends on the amount you have to replace roughly 50 bulbs in my case...

A PowerCab suits me, along with Cobalt Digital Point Motors (your need something to change tracks).....

You could run pure electronic autofrogs, there are no moving parts and come in 1, 2 and 6 units the 2 and 6 unit kit can also do reverse sections, or on the 6 section unit mix reverses and frog juicers (Autofrog)......i have quite a few and there very good.... http://www.tamvalleydepot.com/products/...

Using the baseboard, MDF and Chipboard in a shed, is ok if the shed is insulated and kept warm and dry, other wise the MDF and Chipboard isn't to good a idea,,,,,
