Is puzzling. The Faller car system wire should not have any diode or similar in it. The only thing I can think of is if you have two DC controllers and a section is bridging between the two.
Can't think of anything else which has something acting as a diode. Not sure what would happen if DCC and DC circuits were to connect, but all I do know is it won't be good for the DCC control system!

Have not posted much before but enjoy reading what other people are doing. But my guess would be something like a track pin being picked up.

Well I'm stumped ... leaves on the line ? wrong kind of rain ? Ahhhh I know you use a tin mug for your tea, and you put it across the tracks by mistake !

OK I give up lol

Cheers

Phew !!! I took a gamble with this bit of fun, i thought it would be a 50-50 chance it may cost me a loco, luckily im safe now. I did think someone would work it out, i had eliminated most possibles in the thread, all that was left was the loco and 45 wagons. Well it was not the loco, so we are left with 45 wagons- 90 axles, yes you have got it now, one of the axles in the pictured wagon was to fault not insulated correctly, IMG_4451.JPG

Well I am glad you got there in the end Brian. That was one thing that one just does not expect. Wheels on axles, you sort of take for granted are no problem don't you.
I knew in the back of my mind you would get there OK. After all ,you must be one of the most experienced of us on here.

Weird... How come it acted like a diode? I guess there is always one exception.
