Great pictures - nice layouts - says it all. Thanks for posting the pics.

I saw that one while I was there - quite impressed.
It’s true shows don’t get discussed much on here - most seem fairly ambivalent about them.

Think maybe I should take more notice of European layouts after looking at your pictures. I've always liked USA layouts.

Very impressive looking layouts. And clearly portable too. Remarkable!

Thanks, mate!
My mission is complete if I can get people to see that just because a layout may be 'different' or 'not British', it can still be worthwhile!

My motto is good modelling is good modelling, regardless of prototype.
Cheers,
John.

Absolutely Gobsmacked, to borrow a phrase. No less that it was internationally transported
is also a small feat in and of itself. Did it go by Channel or Chunnel?

Thanks, Chops.
It all went into a 'transit' or 'Sprinter' type van and they drove up the the tunnel IIRC. I think they would have preferred to take the ferry from St. Malo to Portsmouth as that would have been a lot less driving but would have cost a LOT more so they took the cheaper option. Again, if my memory and understanding serves me correctly!
Cheers,
John.

PS Thanks, everyone for your positive comments, it is much appreciated.

Whilst I really enjoy European layouts, particularly Alpine ones, often they have a tendency to overdo the track at the expense of scenery. Looks to me like the French one was very impressive.

The French layout was very impressive but all the Continental layouts were of a very high standard.
