Looks like you had a good day Steve, and the traction tyres worked well

Well the sun is shining and the sky is blue. I cut the grass yesterday, and am going to scarify it today, I've almost finished the engine shed roof girder work (very similar to SteveM's), and I won 50 on the Premium Bonds - so all in all a good start - and I've bought a lottery ticket - Oh and SWMBO is away for a few days with her mum - what could be better?

Most of the time they did, although I reckon I would have run out of talent long before they ran out of grip.
Just found out that my time was only about 5 seconds off that set by a 'professional' racer earlier in the year - quite pleased at that.

Nice pictures Steve - you looked as though you enjoyed the experience. Was the single seater a Formula Ford?

No BB, this was a Formula 4, 2.0 litre Ford Duratec with semi-auto flappy-paddle gearbox - pretty rapid. The other was. BMW M4, 423 bhp and even quicker!
Finished off by a quick passenger lap in a race-prepared M4 - that was bloody quick. Have to admit, a little bit of wee came out.

If I pay another shilling, can I have another go mister?

Reading about Brians little win fall on the P/Bonds makes me wonder. I had loads of them for years have not even a 10 booby prize. Also know lots of others who have bonds and they never win more than about few quid, ever. I wonder if any body ever wins any thing big on premium bonds as no body I know has ever met anyone who has. 500 seems to be about it. Sold mine few years back after about 20 years. Lost more interest than they were worth. John

In the last two years my son has one 1500 in small wins on 25000 of bonds. You won't get interest like that in many places.

Nice to know Brian that somebody wins something. Perhaps I am a jinks to all my mates.
I have not known anyone who has won more than 500 myself before.
But 25 grand is quite a sum to make 1500 over period of years. Depends how long the 25 grand was in it.
Any one know anybody who has had one of the top prizes. I wonder.
I won 1000.00 on the Christmas draw at work one year. That only cost me 1 a month for 4 years. . Then few years later I got 10 grand. That was first prize. I am very skeptical about P/Bonds personally.
