Default Fazy's Workbench

Thought I would start of gently on this new page. Which I hope to add to has and when time allows.
Here's a picture of my latest modelling project. It is some way from being finished so forgive the lining which I didn't do. And needs to be taken care of. And some filling and paint needs looking at. Is this just a standard Bachmann Jubilee?

I always feel that the dome is a bit high on this moulding

Oh dear you had to point that out. I'll have to see if anyone makes a suitable one.

Yep I've always thought they were a bit high. But hoped it was just me. Just looked at Alan Gibson's website but he only does the tall chimney for the jubilee. And after chopping a bachmann SFB into LFB. I may have to do some more chopping if I can find a suitable dome. Might just use the one of the bachmann piece if they were the same but that needs checking

Hong kong is now 45681 Aboukir. Getting close to finishing. Needs a coat of gloss varnish. Before renumbering the cab side. And a good weathering to help bleed the lining and pants together. Oh a a screw for the valve gear.

Weathering started. Heavier than I originally was going for but it growing on me. And similar to some photos of the real thing. Some detail picking out needs to be done.

Next up is the City of Salford. This is my second attempt. The frist went wrong with the vernish. And then I dropped the tender. Still need to buy a new one. But the loco is almost done. Needs cab numbers lining along with the name. But all else is done. And it still works always a bonus.
