Default Model Railway Magazines free to a good home/charity

We've inherited hundreds of model railway magazines dating from the 1950's through to the 1980's, including what must be an almost complete set of Railway Modeller magazines for this period. There are seven, very heavy banana boxes full.

If anyone would like them or can recommend a charity that would benefit from them, please get in touch.

They are free to a good home if you can collect from Cornwall (PL18). I'd hate to see them go to waste as they were dearly loved by my late Father-In-Law.

Many thanks

Welcome to the forum Laura. I seem to be slowly building up my own collection of magazines. I hope you find a loving home for them.

A suitable recipient is likely to be the local model engineering society, that use them as the basis of a technical library, the gauges may smaller than a preserved railway but the guys are just as keen in their interests.

Not sure where you are , but are any of these local:-

Thanks so much for your responses. I will investigate all of the ideas. The Perranporth Society is certainly located in a place I visit with the children so I may be able to deliver them if they're interested. Thanks again!
