Thanks for all the helpful info & links everyone. I like the idea of the 2 opposite pole bar magnets & will do some experimenting with them & also some electro magnets & post on some results.
Oddly enough i see Kadee actually do a remote control uncoupler that's only $345.00 for a G scale trains. lol, thank goodness they don't make it for 00 gauge. Only joking. "Link"

If you want there is a DCC auto uncoupler, very small and fiddly though.

DCC Kadee uncoupler
A common mistake people make when designing something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
