Default Gremlins

How do the gremlins get in???

All points working last week, yesterday one right hand decided the blade would not make contact with the rail until I gave it a small tweak. On the other one, the Peco point motor was stuck. After removing a small piece of scenery to expose the motor, it was discovered the polystyrene back scene had somehow slipped, and jammed the actuator. It was also causing the loco to derail. This was down to a uneven piece of rail, where the point blade contacts the track. Cured by a little filing. How this happens I shall never know. But isn`t it frustrating....

They come out at night apparently and do little things to annoy us and keep us on our toes. never actually seen one, but I know our house is full of them plus a teenager which is just a gremlin in another form

This is a genuine story from the Aviation industry:-

Pilots have a form they fill in and hand over at the end of a flight to the ground crew to inform maintenance of any issues found with the aeroplane, so that the maintenance engineers can investigate and fix before the plane before it fly's again.
One day, a flight crew submitted a form along the following words....

"Both Pilots noticed a repeating banging sound emanating from the nose of the aircraft, we can only describe it as Gremlins hammering the on the side of the internal frame"

The next day, the pilots were due to fly the same plane, so they read the overnight maintenance report, as completed by the night shift in answer to their fault report. It read as follows....

"Banging in nose cone found to be Gremlins with hammers. Hammers removed from their possession and a severe telling off given, not to do it again!"

Permanent way staff with gremlin guns, or is there such a thing as a gremlin trap. Would that be a health and safety issue?
