Default US Loco?

Hi

Im looking to setup an N Gauge layout. I wanted a US setup and have been looking at some of the Arnold Burlington Diesel Locos, there appears to be little to no US diesel locos available in the UK markets and really wanted a desert style layout.

Will these be compatible with UK track (Peco), as well as UK DCC/DC controllers?

Thanks for any guidance, I am very new to this!

Joe, hi, welcome to the forum. I have both uk, and US, american N gauge locos. Not a problem, except, with couplings. Bachmann, US stuff, does not sometimes couple to uk.. I buy from ebay, america, where there is a good choice. Similarly, no controller problems. I presume, you are modelling in DC. john

Couplers can usually be changed. I've UK, USA, European, and Japanese outline stock. While there are some incompatibilities across the fleet, the odd bridging vehicle, with different couplers at each end, does the trick. I've found many couplers can be swapped out for other styles. Some, but not all, Kato EMUs have unique, in my previous experience, couplers, but many come with the standard Rapido one used on UK and European stock.
