Yes.. also have a howitzer and royal artillery gun in the same style boxes and three well loved trains (one worked well).. I just wish I knew all their histories better - these are the sentimental ones

I can't offer much at all, other than to confirm it was a loco kit, as per description on the box.

A nice Hornby Dublo 3-rail 0/6/2 tank loco. That one is one of the later versions they did. I have one, along with an earlier pre war version though my pre war version needs a new magnet and brushes which when I were replacing magnets, they were not available.
If the loco you have does not pull like it used to, it can be considerably improved by changing the magnet for one of the neo super magnets now available. I've done this with all but my pre war Hornby Dublo locos. Well worth the effort.
