Default Hornby class 31 R3067

Having problems running a Hornby class 31 (R3067) through some of my Peco points. The loco i recently purchased on Ebay, runs fine otherwise, just annoyingly stops at the points and needs a gentle push.It happens both on Electrofrog & Insulfrog points. When i first ran the loco,i discovered the back to back wheel measurements were not correct,so i increased them to the norm 14.30mm.But this did improve, but not completely.Wondering whether Hornby have had problems at the time with the flange depths ?Any suggestions ??

The problem is that this model only has pick-ups on the drive bogie......they need to be perfectly clean and making good contact on the backs of the flanges.......maybe you could consider fitting more pick-ups to the other bogie........HB
