Default Gaugemaster combi

I'm going to buy a gaugemaster combi DC controller for my shunting puzzle and I see you need to purchase the leads separately that go from the controller to the track but I want to know the end with the fish plates attached do they fit onto a special track like the hornby controllers. Any help will be great.

The fishplates are used to join two pieces of track thus supplying power to the track. Don't use them. Can you solder, if so just solder some leads to the rails. If not buy a power connector that plugs into the track.

Are you using Hornby or Peco track?

This is the Peco version.
