Default Sticking Pages With Old Books.

Recently bought an old book. Though it wasn't that cheap it had scenes I liked. Some pages were stuck so I offered to buy it for a pound less and the dealer accepted. He gave me good advice to deal with the stuck pages. Use a hairdryer.
I was sceptical, and being a man, I don't have a hairdryer. However we do have a fan heater.
Tried it and it works! Yes,they did need gentle force as well, but one by one they came apart.
I now can look at every page!
I thought I would share this info. Many may already know this, but it is new to me and works so I am well pleased!
Learning this more then pays for the price of the book for future books to save etc.

Back to sticky pages. Hairdryer or fan heater is the solution!

Surely it depends on what is sticking them together?

I agree, heating could cause more damage than good especially along the spine.

I think the idea is you only do it if there stuck together and gradual warming not trying to toast it in the first minute, if it does do damage your still no better off if the pages are still stuck, whats the point of having a unreadable book.....
