Table tennis tables are often quite sturdy, but they are not meant to take any weight and will bow down in the middle after a year or two.

They dont, My layout,is totally on a table tennis table,Has been on it now for 6 years, and has a further two tiers on top. I regularly lay a spirit level across and it’s still perfect,May depend on quality of table, john

We bought it in lancs played there for 4 years before moving here, built tt room in year 2, and played for 5 years prior to converting it for rail use, I think I would have known the difference,john,

I have to say that if I made my layouts portable from the start, I would have a lovely collection of layouts by now! Mind you, I probably would have sold one or two to help pay for other newer projects.
