Workmen have arrived this morning to start replacing the driveway that was ripped up in the course of the ground works. Guess what it is absolutely bucketing it down and blowing a gale for good measure.

Going to have to get the bacon butties on and try to cheer them up.

Just a quick update, after having the previous drive ploughed up with all the heavy plant from the groundworks trundling over it I now have a brand new Tarmac drive so no more "off roading" . More importantly no more earache from SWAMBO about all the sand and grit being walked in. Just need to make a mowing strip and some landing lights along the side of the drive just to aid reversing at night and a new wall to wall lawn and jobs done.

Is looking great. With a new driveway and new sheds. Is almost like a whole new house!

Has to be a thin car as there is something yellow in the way at the end of the drive.

That's my fold down bollard fed up of taxis and inconsiderate neighbours using the drive to three point turn this is despite us living on a crescent when it is easier to simply go round. The day after the edgings were put in someone managed to reverse into one

Would love to see you in Durham Tricky, as we are moving miles away from Durham next month. But if you want to come see the progress of the new layout in the next house you will be more than welcome to visit
It is in lovely part of Cumbria near the lakes.
