Default Using search

I have been trying the search function before asking questions.

So this my first question on the forum !

I want to search on the forum for "baseboard leg", and responses are for all threads with baseboard together with responses for leg.

I note that the search request comes back as "baseboard*leg". I assume that * is a default condition or operator.

Are there other operators ? I.e AND. OR "" "" & @. Etc

I never posted how mine work so here my way,2" x 2" par, half lap at the top if the legs to long take a bit out of the lap section, on the bottom i bored a 12mm hole a couple of inches then pva in a dowel, if the legs not long enough the pice of dowel sticking out place some 12mm washers the lift the leg up a bit, length of the dowel depends on the floor, mine is 18mm chipboard with a 12" gap to the ceiling below, i made the dowel stick out about 1"....

Thx for your replies.
I was trying to cut down on the number of search responses by increasing the search criteria. When I searched, I got about 11 pages of reply, the difficulty is trying to sort out which thread is relevant. Six threads headed "Advice needed" by different posters on different days, with little indication of what the advice is required, sort of makes getting information a little tedious. Up side is that I now have a range of topics I can add to the Ask list !

I posted a pic in the gallery of my little layout that has folding legs. Hardly any track on it yet though. Legs can be tricky to get right. Why most people tend to build a few trestles instead as it is the tried and tested method. Non portable layouts are much easier for legs!
