Thank you, I had forgotten about them, I didn't fancy paying hattons price with postage on top for just 1 point.
I've ordered 1 point, it came to less than hattons basic price.

It's been a while since I posted an update due to many factors mainly work being so busy that I've had very little time to lay track.

The layout is coming alone, I have just put down another quarter of the inner loop, only one bit of that to go now then the inner siding will be done.

For now I thought i'd show you some of my new stock for my layout, Enjoy.

A couple of new purchases recently.

A nice BR green Class 04 diesel

A 20 Ton BR Bauxite brake van

I have a couple of others still on their way, a BR green class 08, a class 25 which went away for repair in BR green also, and a BR black early crest (invoking Rule 1 a little) 9F
Will post others as they arrive.

If I've missed it I apologise but from what I can see you only have a single crossover between the two rings. You will find that two crossovers, one in each direction is a necessity to give you complete flexibility in both directions. This should be a simple addition at some point along one of the straight sections.

You've not missed it.
I know it would be easier for smooth running but after taking 2 months just to let down what I have done I'm not changing the plan significantly at this stage.
Thanks for the thought though, maybe in the future I'll do it. I didn't want to over crowd with points everywhere.

Well here is the first ever running session on Nodinson Hills

As I have finished the main loops of track on my layout I decided it was time to run some trains.

The outer track has the BR black standard class 4mt pulling a small rake of two br maroon mk1 coaches.
The inner track has the br green class 04 diesel pulling a slightly longer rake of mixed freight.

I know at the moment they are going the same direction but when i've got my dcc controller it will all be separate as it is all wired up for dcc even on dc.

I have a 5 sidings to lay yet but at least now I can sit back and enjoy some trains running.

Looks very nice Alex. There is something very pleasing about watching trains (of all gauges and sizes) trundling along at a moderate pace. Very relaxing, almost soporific. Well done. R-
