Very nice mate. Do you have to apply anything over the top of the powders to fix them?

I used a dullcote first then the powders stick to it. A clear varnish can be used after if the model is going to well handled.

I disagree, a good/ decent weathering job can increase it`s value. Especially if someone wants a weathered version and are reluctant to weather there own, There quite a few custom weathered locos and rolling stock on ebay that are quite a bit more money than a plain stock item. I personally never buy locos and wonder about it`s resale value, i buy because i like it.
