I went to school with the Kinks - well three of them.

Well done Brian. 42 acres is a lot of mowing. If you ever have any problems I know a QC who is the countries top man on "village greens". Barry

Well twenty nine years ago today, I was thanking someone upstairs(!) that I had survived the Clapham Rail Crash - sadly thirty four did not. I was in the buffet car, which was the second carriage from the front of the Poole train, which hit the stationary train just outside Clapham Junction. Seems along time ago now.

Barry there are many on here who have tales to tell about the railway but yours is without doubt the most amazing. I for one am glad to have met you. See you at Eastleigh.

Hopefully we won't need a Village Green expert but if we do you'll be the first to know.

No HB. On Google Earth search for Cedar Park School, Hazlemere. The large field to the south with the crossed paths and the one to the left of that and the one below that. You can see where we have laid paths between the fields.

That would be great. Think my son might buy a house in Prestwood.

Took a break from the railway to fix the car as it needed a new rear fog light after a slight bump.
The old one came out easily as it was in lots of very small pieces but the new one took forever as one of the two retaining screws sits between the bumper and a chassis member with about an inch of clearance.
Lets just say that the route to get my hand in was via the middle of the car and over the exhaust. My arm was in up to my elbow and I could just reach the screw.
All those hours watching TV about James Herriot finally paid off.
