Default NO DEAL at WHSmith.

Having driven into Basingstoke town centre this morning to buy the February Hornby Magazine and 2018 Hornby Catalogue, I was very disappointed to find there was NO DEAL! The staff new nothing about it. This is not a Hornby problem. Stroppy email sent to Key Publishing. It cost me 13.99 instead of 8.99 - I bought them anyway, as I would have done Deal or No Deal (excuse the pun).

A polite reply from Key Publishing. They say the offer is from the 11th January 2018 - it says 10th in the January Hornby Magazine. They are sending me the 2018 Hornby Yearbook as compensation.

That’s great news from key publishing, I have both Hornby & Railway Illustrated sent through the post from them and never have a problem. So if I wanted the Hornby book would I after take the voucher to WHS ?

There was no voucher involved - the February Hornby Magazine plus the new 2018 Hornby Catalogue - if bought together, are 9.99 a saving of 3.50 over buying the two separately. The offer was supposed to start today, but appears to have slipped to the 11th January. On the Hornby Forum someone said the offer was available today from Tesco.

Picket up my copy from Tesco today and they only had the Magazine on it's own, and it was one of their big stores as well.

if you subscribe to Hornby magazine you can purchase the 2018 catalogue direct from Key Publishing at a reduced price of 5.49 according to their website, but you have to phone them to take up the offer.
