What do you think uni-bond is but a PVA glue. and used in the building trade to act as a primer for just about anything to anything.

Diluted but I reckon emulsion paint will seal it on it's own, in fact I know it will

You want to watch leaving in the shed Brian, it does not take kindly to being frozen far as I know. I have always kept things like emulsion paint and PVA stuff inside. I had some emulsion paint out in shed last year and it got ruined. Un usable it was. John

It's in an insulated cupboard, lined with 2 inch thick polystyerene. I keep paint in there as well.

You weren't supposed to know, your advice was good, I was just explaining what I do. I was caught out years ago so lined a cupboard. Ever tried painting with frozen emulsion.

Yes I have after it had warmed up in the spring. All the colour separated and it went like curdled milk.
