The Steyning line features in MSTS, if you still have that.

The problem with the GWR electrification being restricted is that the class 800s have had to be reconfigured as bi-modes, meaning that when they are under the wires they are lumping around diesel engines, gear and tanks making them slower and less efficient than they would otherwise be.

Faster accelerating trains supposedly increase the capacity of the line which was the intention rather than shaving a few minutes off the end to end time. Once both types are in service alongside each other we will see just how much the difference actually is.
