Default There appears to be a Deltic in Burton

As I passed over the bridge overlooking Nemesis Rail in Burton-on-Trent, I'm sure in the gloom there was a Deltic in the sidings.

Does anybody have insider info on how long it is there for and when it departs? Something is departing just after 10am tomorrow but I don't know if that is it.

...Not as slim as I thought.
Standing on a deserted bridge at half past 3 in the morning.

I've never heard one in the flesh before, they were retired well before I was born.

I rode on one from Finsbury Park to Hither Green it was a long time back though the loco then carried on to Ramsgate to work a Special back to London...while there are only 2" taller than a Class 33 going under bridges it did make me want to duck as the cab was raised quiet a bit.....D9005....
