SWMBO found that out in the upstairs rooms and invested in an anti-spider spray..... I believe it works. The spray needs to be renewed every now and then. I know this when I hear a scream , - no I don't know the frequency .

Repton on the 10:25 from Whitby, waiting behind the new scaffolding around the signal at Grosmont.

In the early stages of organising our holiday and it looks as though it may coincide with the Autumn Steam Gala - better planning than last year.

Nice picture Steve - I seem to have a huge list of webcams in my favourites file. I saw the first train of the day at Corfe a little earlier, had a quick flit around the RH& D.

Are you planning somewhere nice for your hols? We're off to Florida on Monday - back at the end of May - I need to see some sun on a regular basis (daily).

The RH&D is only about 50 mins from here so we do visit from time to time.

Last year we had a week on the Yorkshire Moors in October and we're hoping to stay in the same cottage but a week earlier to catch the gala.
We are reluctant to leave the dog in kennels so UK hols are 'in vogue' again - and it's a beautiful part of the country.

I know, it was horrendous!
There was more chance of seeing a low flying barn owl in the valley than any cars.
