I bet Chatham (Fort Pit) exhibition organisers weren't too pleased about that one being arranged on the same date!
Its an unwritten rule amongst most clubs not to put on shows on the same day(s) as others in the area. A scan of a few copies of railway modelling magazine soon reveals what weekends are not booked in most areas. This is exactly what my club did before settling on the second weekend of September. No other club organised shows in the county or anywhere nearby in adjacent counties. They have two club members layouts at our show this weekend, which means they are out on the exhibition circuit a lot and possibly risk over exposure of the same layouts? Turn up this weekend Mr Bones and you'll find us all there. ![]()

I had a cuppa waiting for your arrival in the exhibitors area too.
![]() I was and it went off very well. Bit lower on footfall on the Sunday but that tends to be the norm.

I came on the Saturday, right one this time
![]() Very well organised and a very friendly atmosphere. I take my hat off to the ladies doing the teas and whom I assume made the delicious cakes. Will be going next year.
