I use Deluxe Materials Speedbond PVA for all my Metcalfe kits - it's quick dry, but not to quick. Some glues are an instant grab, and if you don't get the alignment right first time you have a problem - Speedbond gives you a little time before it goes off. I found the 500ml bottle from Hattons a good deal - I then fill the smaller bottles with fine tips.
