I wonder why the cost difference between Tornado and an A4. Not much difference between them except the body moulding. Why such a vast difference in price.

Is it because Tornado is in the Railroad range?

May be that is why Brian.
But The A1 is a nice model all the same, and the chassis which is 9 /10ths of the model is more or less the same. At least I would not have thought 80 or more difference. And the A1 comes with sound. It just seems to me the prices are just extremely high and out of proportion with some other models they make. But I suppose they have there reasons. I suppose production cost depend on so many different things. From where it is made to what tools are available to make them.

Nothing obviously jumping out of the page for me either - apart from a few more TTS decoders.

I couldn't resist the Re-built Merchant Navy, a Lord Nelson (not the TTS) and a Maunsell Restaurant car - so pre-orders are in. The jury is out at the moment on the Blue original Merchant Navy.

The J36 is not on my 'wantlist' but, nonetheless, its good to see something for Scotland, or, at least, the NB section.
