I didn't buy one. No way at those prices. Not unless we are in the year 2047 or somewhere like that!

Yes that is often true same with all the suppliers that's why you have to shop around. I only did a quick check not a market survey. It is up the who ever is buying it to shop around. You can also pay lot more with some of the ebay sharks.

I was quite surprised John. I thought PS would be cheaper. You learn something every day. Every hour in my case.

Peter is often cheaper, but on the other hand he can be dearer as well. There is no hard and fast rule here. You just have to check when buying like everything else.
Do you think that things were much better in the old days when we had fixed prices. Mind you in those days we used to make things in Britain.

A little example. I am repairing a class 56 loco to day for a friend of mine and needed a new motor. Had look on on ebay found one for sale buy it now used for £43. Thought that sounds high so did little google
New Modellers Shop £9
Peters spares £16.99
Another cant remember name £19.99
Guess where I ordered it, and that and it was complete with drive shafts.
And the one on ebay was used the others are brand new.
The ebay Shark was the winning rip off . Now you wonder why I call some of them Sharks. During the war they called them Black Marketeers. And if caught some offences could could get you hung.

Well glad I opened up the loco before ordering the motor of the class 56 as it was an older model than I thought it was and had an old Ringfield motor and not the new type can motor we ere discussing. That was lucky.
