Default Hornby

Any one have an old serviceable Hornby 8F. (tender drive) You want to sell.
I am really looking for a chassis as I have one which is very worn out, to the point of wheels shorting out on the chassis. It needs new set of wheels, bearings bottom pate, the lot. I dont think any of the spares are available any more as far as I know.

Convinced nobody reads these wanted adds.

Buying one on the bay for spares just to get it sorted.

Cheers MG was only being flippant. Have just come to the conclusion that it is cheaper buying a doner loco than it is to buy the spare parts . Even if you can get them.

John,
I suspect that like myself many members did check to see if they could help. Glad you have found one and appreciate that the smiley in your post indicates that it was no more than a gentle dig.

Hi Jim I had look and it says it had 153 views and I think the reason was my fault, I had headed it Hornby and I should have headed it Hornby 8F spares.
But life is to short to be serious. John

A bit late now I know but have you ever tried Peter's Spares in sunny Middlesbrough? They've just bought masses of Hornby spares.

Have I tried Peter Spares. He is almost a neighbour. He is only just down the road from me.
Yes he has some of the parts but not all any way as I have said I have decided that it was easier (and cheaper) to buy a doner loco and use from it the complete good condition loco chassis than it was to repair my original loco chassis. Job done. ..........John
