Default Couplings

Does anyone know if a Hornby R8268 coupling will fit into a Bachmann coupling pocket. They look the same but will it fit
Any advice on this please

not altogether sure because I haven't tried them but I thought NEM in now industry standard so they should all be compatible

It should certainly fit but whether it's a tight fit or a loose fit is another matter.

Thanks for that I have a mixture of Hornby and Backmann and they decouple so the most simple way seems to fit the Hornby couplers into the Backmann pockets so I will get some and give it a go

Interesting. I have a mixture of Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol, Oxford and Heljan and they don't uncouple, well not very often.

I bought a pack of Hornby R8268 couplings and they are a straight swap for the Bachmann couplings
