Default Airbrush

Has anyone used an airbrush to paint/weather 00 rail?

I reckon a brush is easier, no need to mask anything or do so much cleaning.

Funny enough I muttered to myself whilste watching the vid, I recon a brush is easier, which is just what you said WTD. Glad somebody agrees with me for once.
I do use an Air brush but never used it for weathering. Tell you the truth I like my locos and things nice and clean and not dirty looking. Hourses for courses.
John

PS I thought the track in the vid looked better before it was weathered. But of course that is me.

I use a product (from the US) which is like a marking pen but only paint. it comes in a variety of rail colours including "rust". i just run it along the rail edges . it is very quick and effective

I use a small brush and a tin of Rusty Rails by Phoenix. I only paint what can be seen, not the back of rails out of sight. Also I can avoid getting paint onto critical parts of the points.
