Default why change things

peco double slip looking a bit tatty got a bargain nearly new replacement
remove the old on and new one is different length and the tie bars to operate the point are at a different position as well
so now I have to reposition the point motors and alter 2 lengths of track or move 1 point motor and alter 4 pieces of track

no part nos one is marked up peco England the other is marked up peco streamline England

it turns out the length is the same just confused myself
if I line them up face to face the tie bars on the old are just inside the tiebars on the new at both ends probably about 1 sleeper position out the tie bar lines up with the thick sleeper on the inside of the new

Maybe they still make the tatty ones. Are they both code 100 or code 75?

They have been like that for a few years now, well before Peco thought of DCC. The wires are for electrofrog switching.

Yes you’re right, almost all of my peco points have wire connections underneath. I guess his old ones are pretty ancient.
