Default virgin east coast

Could anybody please tell me what,if ever, were there mixed livery rakes in the virgin east coast line, especially if the latest virgin livery on their class 91's pulled the earlier grey east coast coaches

Whenever there's a change of ownership there will be mixed livery trains. You can't paint all of your locos and rolling stock overnight.

Thanks for that little snippet. It explains a lot ( and gives me reasons for eclectic collection).
Jim.
