In a previous life I used to rewind slot car motors for improved performance (at least that was the idea) and you could buy wire with the ‘varnish’ in all sorts of colours, red, green, blue, black, clear. My bombproofing method was to warm the armature after rewinding and balancing and proving, then wipe on Araldite which when warmed soaked into the wiring.
